As part of a major export
drive, Murton System Technologies has acquired three heavy-duty
manufacturing machines.
The three machines include
two Pick and Place machines for high volume production of surface mount
device (SMD) technology, printed circuit boards (PCB) and a reflow oven
for soldering.
The acquisition allows
Murton System Technologies to offer a wide variety of services to fulfill
every product development and production need, giving a total output
approaching 500 000 component placements per day, with a special focus on
fulfilling the outsourcing needs of companies requiring electronic turnkey
production.
“Quick development and
fast time to market are not just buzzwords and Murton is able to help
companies achieve these elusive goals. We are able to assist in
conceptual product planning, System Engineering, functional circuit
design, printed circuit board CAD design and layout, prototype production
and validation as well as safety and government standard testing,”
explained Murton System Technologies MD
Brent Maurer.
“We are also looking at
a major export initiative as well as offering outsourcing services to
overseas companies fuelled by the weak local currency,” he noted.
He said product analysis
can arm production managers with the information they need to make
informed, effective decisions, which trade off the economic gains realizable
by implementing process improvements against the product quality impact of
those improvements.
MS Tech provides turnkey
production services including procurement of components. Quick-turn
production is done on a regular basis. With the acquisition of the
three machines, delivery and production times have now been greatly
enhanced.
